Day 12 - Three-Day Tour – Explore Melbourne's Hidden Gems! 🚶‍♀️

G’day, adventurers! Have we got a ripper of a tour for you! If you’re looking for a blend of cultural immersion, natural wonders, and a bit of the spooky side of Melbourne, then strap on your boots and get ready for the Whoop Whoop Walk About!

We’re thrilled to announce that we’ve got not one, not two, but SIX different tours that’ll have you laughing, learning, and maybe even a little scared. Today, we’re shining the spotlight on our most exciting tour close to Melbourne – a three-day adventure that’ll take you from ancient volcanic landscapes to a haunted lunatic asylum. Yep, you heard that right!

🗓 Day 1: Organ Pipes National Park

Our adventure kicks off at the Organ Pipes National Park, just a short drive from Melbourne. This place is more than just a pretty face – it’s part of the Wurundjeri People’s Aboriginal cultural landscape. You’ll be walking in the footsteps of history as you explore these stunning natural formations, carved out by lava over a million years ago.

Imagine parking your car on top of an old volcano and strolling down into the valley where stone columns tower above you like a natural cathedral. The Organ Pipes themselves hang on a cliff face, overlooking the picturesque Jacksons Creek. It’s the perfect spot for a picnic, a bit of quiet contemplation, and maybe even a Coight-style misadventure or two. Just be careful on that steep hill – it’s a doozy!

We’ll then head over to Sunbury, a town with a history that’ll send a shiver down your spine. This isn’t just any old town – it’s home to the remains of a notorious lunatic asylum, where stories of tragedy and mystery still linger in the air.

We’ll explore the eerie grounds of the old asylum, where the tale of Maraquita Sargeant, a concert pianist wrongly committed in 1945, still haunts the halls. This is ‘black territory,’ as her son calls it – a place where history’s shadows are long and dark. But don’t worry, folks – we’ll keep it light and breezy. After all, what’s a ghost tour without a few laughs?

We’ll cap off the tour with a night-time ghost tour that’ll have you jumping at shadows! Explore the old asylum and surrounding areas by torchlight, hearing tales of the restless spirits that are said to still roam these parts.

Whether you’re a seasoned ghost hunter or a complete skeptic, this tour’s got something for everyone – history buffs, thrill-seekers, and anyone who just loves a good story. And who knows? Maybe you’ll have your very own ghost moment... let’s just hope it’s not too spooky!

So, if you’re ready to experience Melbourne like never before, join us on the Whoop Whoop Walk About! This three-day tour is packed with history, culture, and a dash of the supernatural – all with that classic Aussie humour that’ll keep you grinning from start to finish.
