Get ready for a wild ride through culture, critters, and kooky stories!

Welcome to the Ultimate Outback Experience!

Crikey! We’re about to take you on a 2-day whirlwind tour that'll leave you grinning like a goanna sunbaking on a warm rock. If you’ve been looking for a mix of deep culture, beautiful landscapes, and a few belly laughs along the way—then saddle up! You’re headed for Torrumbarry, Kow Swamp, Koondrook, and all the best bits Echuca has to offer.

The Package:

Day 1: Torrumbarry & Kow Swamp – History, Heritage, and A Few Surprises
Morning: Torrumbarry Weir
Start the day with a visit to Torrumbarry Weir, where you'll hear stories about its cultural significance and how the Local people thrived along the banks of the Murray River for thousands of years. Oh, and don’t worry, we’ll throw in a few cheeky Aussie facts just to keep you on your toes!

Lunch: Picnic by the Murray
Enjoy a bush-inspired lunch by the river, complete with damper and billy tea. Try not to let the local kookaburras steal your sandwich!

Afternoon: Kow Swamp
Next, we’ll make our way to Kow Swamp, where ancient burial sites reveal the deep history of Aboriginal people. This area is a treasure trove of archaeological significance—and we’ll make sure to mix in plenty of fascinating yarns to keep it light and fun. Who knew ancient history could be this entertaining?

Day 2: Koondrook Goanna Walk & Echuca – Culture and Creature Comforts
Morning: Koondrook Goanna Walk
Time to stretch those legs and get back to nature with the Koondrook Goanna Walk! Keep your eyes peeled for local wildlife, and don’t be surprised if your guide tells you a joke or two about our scaly mates. Did you know the goanna was a bit of a bush chef’s best mate? No spoilers—find out more on the walk!

Lunch: Goanna Grub (Don't Worry, It's Not Actual Grub)
Enjoy a proper Aussie BBQ in the bushtucker—veggie options available, and yes, there will be snags. Wash it all down with a cold drink while you listen to Dreamtime stories about the  Hairies

Afternoon: Echuca’s Cultural Gems
Finish your adventure with a visit to Echuca, where we’ll get out our brushes  and do some Aboriginal art and maybe even take a paddle steamer ride down the river (optional, but it’s a ripper of an experience).

What’s Included:

  • Guided Tours: Expert (and hilarious) guides who’ll show you all the must-see Aboriginal cultural sites, from Torrumbarry to Koondrook.

6-Hour Cultural Immersion Tour

Start Location: Mooroopna

Time: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Includes: Grazing Plate & Lunch at SAMS (Shepparton Art Museum — fancy, right?)

If four hours of fun isn’t enough for you, how about six? After you’ve nailed the Boora Boora, we'll take you to Kialla for an art class  learning from Uncle Bobby and his clan where you can unleash your inner bush Picassoor  Or We head to Kybram Zoo for some real cuddles with koalas or other stand alone contestants.

Then, we’ll head over to the Shepparton Museum to see some serious artefacts — like ceremonial headgear that’s way cooler than a bush hat, and traditional spears that make you glad you didn’t meet the ancestors in a dark alley!

  • Get artsy in Kialla — brushstrokes, boomerangs, and bush-themed masterpieces await!

  • Learn traditional Aboriginal language — you'll finally know what that cool word on the tourist sign actually means!
